  1. This is wonderful Jim, another history filled site. Thank’s for all your hard work and time to put this together, it just great Jim.

  2. Great pictures. I was on the pit crew for the 1974 GWC. The Dave Hale 98 car. There was a picture taken at T car speedway with the crew behind the trophy and in front of the car Do you know where it is and could I get a copy of it if you do.
    Thank you
    Russ Fay

  3. I have really enjoyed your websites and it brought back a lot of great memories of the San Jose Speedway. My grandfather, Bob Allinger built the Dave Hale #98 car and my father, Roy Adams of Roy’s Foreign Car was one of the sponsors of #98 & #25 Mike Damron. They shared a shop in Los Gatos during the 1970′s. Bob built other super modifieds in the 70′s including Ken Molica and if I remember correctly Ed Hopper. I remember him being very busy designing and building wings all during the 70′s. He was also an owner/builder of midgets in the 30′s, 40′s & 50′s including the Dave Oliver car that won the 1st Midget race in Sacramento in 1933 and Duane Carter’s Allinger Offy.
Thanks for all the pictures and great job on your website.

    • Thanks Tracy for the kind comments ! I also have many photos posted on my facebook page. We also have a group on facebook called Vintage Hardtops and Super Modifieds.
